Additional Event for SAS Members
Friday, April 27th Afternoon
KAIROS Blanket Exercise – A teaching tool to share the historic and contemporary relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada. This event is free-of-charge for current SAS members but registration is required. Seats are limited. **Trigger Warning** The Blanket Exercise walks through difficult experiences, such as Indian Residential Schools, the Sixties Scoop, violence against Indigenous women and girls, and other policies that have adversely affected Indigenous peoples. Cultural and health support will be provided during and after the exercise.
The Keith Lewis Memorial Student Presentation Award is available for both an graduate student and undergraduate student presenter. A draw for one monetary student travel supplement is provided by the Regina Archaeological Society for students attending the conference.
Presentations should be 15 minutes in length with an additional 5 minutes allotted for questions.

Registration is available online until April 6, 2018. Late or at the door registrations will also be available, however they will NOT include lunch.
