Annual General Meeting

Holding an AGM within six months after the end the fiscal year is a requirement of being incorporated as a non-profit in Saskatchewan. The following business activities takes place at this meeting of the membership:

  • Review, and correct if necessary, minutes of the previous AGM,
  • Approve the audited financial statements, including reports to the board,
  • Receive any other board or committee reports,
  • Vote on any bylaw amendments and/or additions, and
  • Elect/acclaim new directors

 

The 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Saskatchewan Archaeological Society was held on Tuesday, April 15 at 7:00 pm via Zoom.

Following the SAS Annual General Meeting on April 15, the membership voted in support of the proposed addition of two Members at Large to be liaisons with our seven chapters. The inaugural members will be responsible for helping to establish the full responsibilities of these liaison roles, eventually developing a full job description.

A special member meeting to elect two new Members at large was held Wednesday, June 11 at 6:30 pm via Zoom.
