July News from the SAS

The Archaeology Centre (1-1730 Quebec Avenue) is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and on Fridays by appointment. Staff can still be reached via email or by phoning the office (306-664-4124). We are a mask-friendly facility and ask any visitors to please wear a mask when visiting the office. Disposable masks are available for visitors at the office.

Office Closures:
July 1 – Canada Day
July 11 – in lieu of weekend excavations

Fort Carlton Public Excavations

Registration is now open for the 2022 public excavations at Fort Carlton Provincial Park. Join the SAS in July and August on site! Full details and registration are available on the field school page.

Chapter News

All Points Saskatchewan Archaeological Society:

Prince Albert Historical Society: All museums are open now from 9am to 5pm daily. On July 1st all museums will be open for Free. From July 13-14, the Historical Museum will be hosting the Homestead Aerial Farm photos group. They will be here from 10 to 6 and 10 to 5. More information will be available soon. July 18-22: Blast from the Past Summer Camp for kids ages 7- 12, cost is $50. More information is available on our Facebook page
