This endowment fund was established by the Saskatchewan Archaeological Society (SAS) through the generosity of multiple donors in the name of the late Dr. Zenon Pohorecky – an academic, activist, artist, and archaeologist.
The annual bursary is awarded to eligible students in 2nd year or later enrolled in:
University of Saskatchewan Archaeology, Anthropology or Indigenous Studies programs
First Nations University of Canada Indigenous Communication and Fine Arts, Indigenous Education, Indigenous Languages or Indigenous Studies programs
Must have a 70%+ average. The selected recipient will receive $1,000.
Application deadline is at 4:00 p.m. on JANUARY 31 every year.
