September News from the SAS

The Archaeology Centre (1-1730 Quebec Avenue) is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and on Fridays by appointment. Staff can still be reached via email or by phoning the office (306-664-4124). We are a mask-friendly facility and ask any visitors to please wear a mask when visiting the office. Disposable masks are available for visitors at the office.

Office Closures:
September 5 – Labour Day
September 12 – in lieu of Board meeting
September 30 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

All Points Saskatchewan Archaeological Society:


Prince Albert Historical Society: We return to winter hours on September 1st. The Historical Society office and museum will be open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. If you wish to visit the Rotary Museum of Police and Corrections, the John and Olive Diefenbaker Museum, or the Evolution of Education Museum, please call the Historical Museum  (306-764-2992) ahead of time. We will be closed Monday, September 5 for the long weekend. The Historical Museum will be open for Free on September 30 for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Regina Archaeological Society:

Saskatoon Archaeological Society: The Saskatoon Chapter executive will be meeting in September to set details for our meetings for the Fall and Winter. Right now we are planning our first meeting of the year for October. The date and presentation title are TBA. Our speaker will be Alyshia Reesor. If you are interested in speaking or know of someone who would be, please contact us at saskatoon.archaeology@gmail.com.
